My Top Must Read Business Books

You might remember at the start of 2022 I embarked on a personal development journey …

and like many others at the start of the year set some goals. Whilst I always aim to reach high, these goals are very achievable. One of these goals, a very important goal was to read more books.

I also decided that each year I would have a ‘word’. Just one word. But this word would mean so much to me on a personal and professional level and would stay with me for the whole year. My word of 2022 is “Grounded!”, you can visit this blog post here (link to previous blog post) and learn why I picked the word grounded.

I don’t know about you but I love nothing more than sitting down with a delicious cuppa and a good book. Like many others, I wear a lot of different hats. I run a business, I look after our household, I’m a wife, a mum, a friend and so much more. I must schedule “me” time and allocate time for personal development.

So far, this year I’ve managed to read several books and I’m well ahead of my goal. I’ve enjoyed reading new books and found so many extremely insightful. That insightful, that I want to share my personal favourites with you.

So, without further ado here on my top must-read business books…

She Means Business, Carrie Green

Carrie Green is the founder of the Female Entrepreneur Association and author of She Means Business. She Means Business is possibly one of the best books I’ve ever read. This book allows you, a business owner, the opportunity to dream and turn your ideas into reality. With many real-life examples and how-to guides, this book helps to get clear on your business vision and explains how to build a brand all whilst managing your time and maintaining focus. An absolute must-read in my mind.

How To Win Friends & Influence People, Dale Carnegie

A book originally written in 1936 with over 30 million copies sold worldwide, it’s one of the best-selling books and one as an entrepreneur you must add to your reading list. This book teaches the fundamentals of how to be interested in other people, advises how to listen and how to take on any situation and make it work for you.
If you only have time to read one book this year, please make it this one.

Atomic Habits, James Clear

Another best-selling book that teaches you a framework for improving your everyday life. An easy and proven way to build good habits, and break bad ones. The author James Clear believes in getting 1% better every day via tiny changes that can grow into life-altering outcomes. A great self-help book to improve yourself and build better habits.

Start With Why, Simon Sinek

Start with why, how great leaders inspire everyone to take action, what a book title and what a book! This book has taught me that everything starts with a why and that people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. I can’t wait to read more of Simon Sineks books.

I’d love to hear from you. What is your favourite business book? What books would you recommend next on my reading list?
